Eternal Cylinder on Steam Deck - Visual C++ Runtime Missing
I'd appreciate any help with this. When installing Eternal Cylinder from the Epic store on my Steam Deck, no matter what version of Wine/Proton I pick, i get a small window on a black screen with the error:
"The following component(s) are required to run this program: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime"

open up winetricks for the game and install vcrun2019
I don't know if it's specifically that one, but that covers the most commonly needed VC++ runtimes

will try it, thanks
that worked, i had some trouble finding where to install it from (had to enter a menu then cancel the menu and there it was?) but once i installed it it worked right away

Great. You’ll be able to do this in any future games that require dependencies that are available via winetricks.
There’s also Protontricks in the Discover store for Steam games that does the same thing.
