Enabling the Steam Runtime in the game settings might help

Enabled. From desktop it does not blink, but it does not start. From steam it is constantly loading

Steam Runtime + Steam Deck in Gaming Mode is problematic as far as I know, so that would explain that 2nd behavior
Could you try opening up a terminal ("Konsole") and running
"/home/deck/Games/Heroic/X4 Foundations/start.sh"

Did I type something wrong?

The quotes are in this case necessary (since the path contains spaces)

oh ok let me try again

sorry for orientation of photo. There was a screen flash

fascinating-indigo•3y ago
Hm, nothing obvious there either
You might be better off installing the Windows version & running that through Wine/Proton honestly

my thots execlty. But on steam forums people say that X4 steam version is runing just fine natevly. So that is why I have tried this... And I had same problems on my mint machine. I can install it there as well for you to see logs.
Anyway thank you for quick response 🙂

WinePrefix folder /home/deck/.wineThat doesn't look right & was not set to this when you've started. Why did you change it? Other than that, you don't need the EAC and BAC runtimes (and with that GameMode)
optimistic-goldOP•3y ago
this is widwos instalation
I did not change anything
I uninstaled linux and instaled windows
fascinating-indigo•3y ago
Alright
Well, the default should've been
/home/deck/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/X4 Foundations
. I'd recommend changing it back to thatoptimistic-goldOP•3y ago
on linux or windows instalation?
fascinating-indigo•3y ago
Wine is only used when running Windows applications
optimistic-goldOP•3y ago
changed it started faster and with les broken screen
thank you a lot 🙂
I do not know how/shuld I mark this as sloved, but it is solved for me. If native linux starts working that wuld be cool as well so I can install it on my laptop that does not have proton on it.

You can use Heroic's built-in Wine Manager to install Wine. Should also work with that
