X4: Foundations (native version, GOG) not launching

Hello, I am trying to run X4 in the native version. Downloading worked fine, however it can not be launched. I added the -skipintro launch variable but that makes no difference. Using the steam runtime gives an error "no runtimes could be found", although in steam I can see that sniper is installed. I'm also trying to get GTA V (from Rockstar, so no epic or steam) to run, but I guess it's better to make a separate post for that? Thank you in advance

This is a flatpak + native issue. I don’t know the way to get the Linux build to work, but the Windows build would work under Proton.

I had it running on the windows build before, but I wanted to see whether native has a better performance. Also last time I tried (like 2 weeks ago or so) the windows version also didn't start for some reason, so that was the last straw to try the native version.

Windows versions of games are more likely to work ime There is not normally a perf improvement for native linux and they may be more buggy

Alright, so I guess it's best to try to get that working again instead of the native version...

And for games that continue to get updates after (full) release, it's not uncommon for the Linux port to be behind the Windows version.

Well, as far as I know they are actually keeping the Linux version up to date for this game, so that wouldn't be a problem in this case.
