are install times usually on the slow side or is my internet just that bad

title. was having an issue with fortnite that was shown in an earlier thread (crashes after the second loading screen). verifying files didnt show any progress bars or any indication that the verification process started so i decided to uninstall and reinstall but hot damn its been installing since 1:30 and its only 50% through at 7:30. already missed out on a skin i really wanted cause of it. is it because my famously slow internet is really that slow (always around 0.95-2 MB/s on this installer) or is the heroic installer just not that fast? still gonna continue to use heroic anyways cause even if it was the worst install time known to man its still better than egs.
