How to run two executables within the same environment?
Playing Rocket League with Proton-GE I want to execute a mod called BakkesMod which hooks into the game.
I just can't figure out how to get the mod running in the same environment as the game.
Steps I've tried:
- Drop the mod installer on "Run EXE on prefix" and install it.
- Now the mod is running, but the game won't launch after clicking "Play now".
- If I run the game, nothing happens after selecting the installer via "Run EXE on prefix". When I close the game, the installer pops up.
- I manually added a new game using the same Wine version and prefix pointing to the installed mod executable within the prefix.
- Now I can run the game and the mod at the same time, but the mod does not find a running instance of the game.
Can you help me understand this, please?
PS: I'm not sure if this counts as a heroic/non-heroic issue...
