that's a ubisoft game, right? you probably need the ubisoft connect launcher installed manually in the prefix

Is there a guide for installing this?

Getting "An Epic Games service is unavailable at the moment" on the Ubisoft connect launcher
Because I bought the game through the Epic store I had to link my Epic Account to my Ubisoft Connect account with this link https://epicgames.com/id/link/ubisoft, after that I had to log out of both Epic and Ubisoft and log back into everything, then it finally shows up as my game on Ubisoft connect and allowed me to update the game and play, hope this helps someone else.
Now it crashes during the load, with a "Oh no it crashed!" message and Send Crash Report button, Tried running with several versions if Proton...no luck, time for a refund

Always try wine-ge with dxvk and vkd3d and not proton
Proton is only made for steam games. Sometimes it works, but mostly it crashes without giving you a proper log

sooo after a lot of tries I got this working, these are the steps (it's kinda convoluted):
- delete the current prefix folder
- set Proton-GE-Proton7-42 (or the latest available, same steps are not working for Wine-GE)
- use winetricks in heroic's settings to install: arial font, d3dcompiler_43, d3dcompiler_47, faudio and vcrun2019
- then install the UbisoftConnect launcher with the Run EXE on prefix option
- now you have to DISABLE the overlay for this game or it will crash before the title screen
- to disable the overlay you can run the launcher after installation and here you have 2 options: you can log in and go to the settings and disable the overlay, or edit
./Prefixes/Immortals Fenyx Rising/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Ubisoft Game Launcher/settings.yaml
and change enabled: true
to enabled: false
after the overlay:
key
- close the launcher
- launch the game
it will warn you that you have the overlay disabled, say it's ok that you want to continue without it, then it will update the game and after a while it should lunch
closing the game doesn't really finish all the ubisoft processes so I have to go and kill all the extra Uplay
processes I see in the task manager after exiting the game
