What determines if a GOG game supports cloud saves?
I've noticed a bunch of my GOG games do not support syncing saves, and unfortunately it's not possible to know this until after the game is downloaded. Is there some set of criteria that determines if a GOG game supports syncing saves in Heroic?
For example, Absolute Drift and Jazz Jackrabbit (native games) as well as Worms Forts (Windows game) all support cloud saves in GOG Galaxy but do not in Heroic.
Edit: I mainly ask so I can avoid downloading games that do not support cloud saves, as my ISP unfortunately implements data caps.

native Linux games do not support cloud saves. it is tied to whether the Windows build supports it. you can look at the store page for the game

Worms Forts does not indicate cloud saving

compare this to The Witcher 3:

Ooof
Ok, good to know
Is that in the documentation somewhere?
I guess I installed the native version of Absolute Drift, which explains why it didn't support cloud saves

probably. here's an old post that included some info about it: https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/discussions/1593
[General] GOG Cloud Save support for Windows and macOS games (GOG doesn't have Cloud saves for Linux games). Still in early development so it's recommended that you backup your saves before using it. Some games might also return some false positives when they support or not the feature, so let us know if some game doesn't have the correct information.

Awesome, thanks!

we might support it in the future
but it's a lot of work

Understandable. I'd rather get EGS save syncs working first before cloud saves for native GOG games

EGS save syncs are working fine
