use this gogdl build assuming you have GitHub account

Could you be more specific? I downloaded the gogdl-Linux zip file, extracted the executable and changed my settings to point to it, but it does not work.
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
mark it as executable
provincial-silverOP•3y ago
I did that, still not working
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
send the log
provincial-silverOP•3y ago
Ha now it's working.
Thank you for your help, hopefully this will be fixed soon.
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
yes this will be part of the 2.6.0 release
so after that you won't longer need that executable override

I have the same issue on a Chromebook. I am Linux illiterate so I would need a detailed walk through on how to install the fix.
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
download gogdl-Linux zip
extract it
mark gogdl binary as executable
in Heroic advanced settings set the path to point to the downloaded executable

Clear as mud. I am LINUX ILLITERATE.
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
I'm not sure how this works on Chrome os
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
As best I can tell. Terminal is terminal is terminal. The Distro is Deban 10 Buster
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
all right then, first download the gogdl-Linux from that url above
you need a GitHub account for that as far as I know
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
I have one
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
extract the zip file ( you can probably do that fro. GUI )
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
Generally I think I should extract to a specific location?
I have it extracted in my general LINUX folder
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
location doesn't matter
now run
make sure to provide correct path to gogdl you extracted
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
HUmnn
Ok. it is essentially in my "home" folder since I comes up in the list when i go ls
so chmod +x gogdl should work?
I didn't get an error message
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
that good then
now you just need to open Heroic > Settings > Advanced
and select the executable you just worked on in gogdl path field
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
Ok done. Machine restart?
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
no need
should work now
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
Humnn.. Still looks like never ending dots chasing themselves in a circle
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
share the heroic log
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
OK?? How??
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
in the settings > log
just send the file here
keep in mind we don't really support Chrome OS though
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
Settings where?
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
Heroic > Settings > Log

But we are not actually in Chrome oS
We are in Debian 10 Buster
I gave the Linux 40 GB of space when I enabled it
adverse-sapphire•3y ago
what's the output when you run this command
flat-fuchsia•3y ago
daviwaynedisney@penguin:~$ /home/daviwaynedisney/gogdl --version
