import windows install to steamOS?

I have a epic games windows install of cyberpunk. In steamOS I installed heroic games launcher, logged in and see my cyberpunk game, I click install and then import and browse to the windows epic games/ cyberpunk folder and select it. Heroic games launch says game is imported but the library screen does not show it installed. Closing and reopening does not help. Any ideas?
