Clive Barker’s Undying
So I updated to Heroic 2.5.2 recently and can no longer start/play Undying where previously I was able to complete the game back in November. Unfortunately I am not savvy enough to figure out which version of heroic I was on at the time but I have always kept it updated. I was using Proton GE 7.35 through protonup-qt. I noticed there is an option to download proton versions in heroic and was wondering it that is needed in addition to protonup-qt (?)
Any assistance with helping getting this game to work again is appreciated, thanks!! #support

So I got it to work with 7.0rc3-ge-1 from desktop launcher but won’t work when add to steam in game mode

I've seen some games that gets stuck in a
loading screen when they should show you a browser window to authorise the access to epic stuff, I haven't found a solution for that in gaming mode (haven't tried much either) though the browser shows up just fine in desktop modedeep-jadeOP•3y ago
So in game mode, it shows the steam logo with the line spinning around it, never starting the game. I did get this to work again by removing non-steam game, uninstalling heroic (keeping heroic game folder) and then reinstalling, adding to steam on desktop and trying to start it (still didn’t work through steam on desktop) but did still work through heroic launcher. When I returned to game mode, it started to work again but takes ~90 seconds. Lost my game saves but that is totally my fault. Just glad it’s running again.
Damn updated not paying attention and no longer working. I got to figure out how to use lutris or something besides heroic :/
