Cannot backup photos from iPhone client app
Thank you making this great software!
I have my Immich container spun up and everything is functioning OK on the server side. I can upload photos and everything is fine.
On the iPhone client, I cannot see any of my photos. I have ensured sharing all photos with Immich is enabled. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app.
This is what I see on the Backup screen.

You need to select an "album". This is which folder from your phone to backup.

Since you have all your photos and videos in iCloud, there would be none on the device. Immich can only scan for photos and videos on the device
Thank you for the reply. I guess I am curious as to how other apps, like the Synology Photos client, will do so?
I guess they will have to download it or stream it to the server
I myself don't use iCloud for Photo so when developing the app, it doesn't come to mind
when I have time I will take a look at solving this issue
