Backup from iphone app - uses many GB of space
I saw an issue where backup of my 35k "recent" album on my iPhone started to struggle. This morning I got a "device full" notice. I went and immich was using around 18GB. I cleared off around 80GB. I saw my "remainder" count start to decrease. About 20 minutes later I got another out of space notice on my iPhone. Storage settings shows immich was using all 80GB of the freed space. I disabled backups, and the space was freed up. What's going on here? Any way to limit this in the app or server settings so it doesn't over-run? It seemed to work fine for the first 23,000 or so photos it has backed up from my phone. App is latest (no update available in app store) Server is 2.3.1
