Can't start wine games because HGL keeps looking for long uninstalled wine version from lutris?

The selected wine version was not found. Install it or select a different version in the game's settings Version: Wine - lutris-GE-Proton7-34-x86_64 Path: /home/nt/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/lutris-GE-Proton7-34-x86_64/bin/wine I usually update my wine versions with ProtonUP-Qt and delete old version afterwards. No matter what I try to set in HGL I keep getting that message if I try to start a wine game.

I noticed that ProtonUp was pulling lutris builds for some reason for me. Get wine builds from the Wine Manager instead

the problem seems to be that I had PREVIOUSLY installed games with that runner configured. for some obsure reason this prevents different games with different wine paths from starting???

I can’t answer why. Just try switching wine versions around

The wine set in the game settings does not change if you update wine. You have to manually change the wine version in each game if you delete a wine version they were using So if you were setting wine in general heroic settings, that wont do anything except update the wine version to use on the next game you install

that still doesn't explain why games I have already uninstalled (but have a no longer present wine version in their config) are preventing me from running games I've currently installed.
