Game Not Available after heroic upgrade
I hadn't upgraded in maybe 6mo, so i upgraded tonight - now the 6 epic games i had installed say 'game not available' but they are still installed
I note that the games are all installed in /run/media/deck/e609201c-f7b5-46be-ac6b-3f996b37c02d/heroicapps
However the default installation path has changed to /run/media/mmcblkOp1/heroicapps for some reason
I changed the default install path to /run/media/deck/e609201c-f7b5-46be-ac6b-3f996b37c02d/heroicapps but that didn't seem to fix
obviously i can delete and unistall the apps and heroic, but wondered if there was a fix / what changed

oh i see issue
why did the folder where heroicapps is located change from mmcblkOp1 to the GUID e609201c-f7b5-46be-ac6b-3f996b37c02d/
can i rename the folder back to mmcblkOp1 or will that break other things?
or should i repath each game to the GUID based folder (aka which is the correct folder name?)
any one have advice on the correct approach?

I think there's an option in the 3 dots menu at the top right of the game page to change the install path? I don't remember exactly

thanks, i know i can change it, the question i have is do i do that and leave the folder with the guid or should i rename the folder to mmcblkOp1 - i am unclear which is the latest naming convention - it seems like something changed at some point in one of the versions? any idea

the folder name is a steam deck thing, I don't know why it changed the name sorry

iirc this was a steam deck issue but i thought they reverted the change because it caused this kind of problems for apps

thanks - all i am looking for is an answer to the question 'should i leave the folder name as the GUID it now has or should I rename it back to mmcblkOp1' as i don't know which is the right name!!

the right name is whatever makes your games work, if steam changed names of mounted devices the current is probably the right one to use, will it change in the future? noone knows
