Hi I have a V-Core 3 500 and when the bl touch probes the bed it doesn’t seem to do anything. the height between the bed and the extruder is always inconsistent. can someone please help!

Are you inputting "Save_config" after you run a first layer test?

I thought that it would use the information it got after each time it proves which it does before every print

got the z-offset you set that once with a first layer test (single layer .2mm) and adjust it manually until you get a smooth surface. Then after it finishes you put "save_config" in the command line and it saves the offset. the probe is for the bed's shape and to make adjustments if one part of the bed is lower or higher than the others. The z-offset is to tell it what the difference between the probe and nozzle level is.

yes the probe does not seem to be adjusting to the difference in height even though it proves the bed before every print

Oh, so this is after you've run a first layer and set the offset?
