ok, I'm not getting any effects in the f18 & I'm guessing only dcs's ffb effects for the SU25t, just flew both then & nothing comes up in the Telemetry Window
When the stick is moved to a position where the aircraft is flying straight and level annd the controls indicator shows the stick centered, it is REALLY NOT centered. For example here is the A10C_2
However both VP and Windows see the stick almost fully forward (which it is) But DCS thinks its centered. In this case I have almost no ability to make the aircraft dive .
I use the F5 a lot and yes the stick is trimmed quite far forward in level flight apart from decending for level changes the correct procedure is roll and pull, once in the circuit and your in trim for final and on AOA the stick is quite far back
From what I've read, the stick should provide more back pressure around the center point as this increased resistance allows better fine grained control (the F15 is this way). However the F18 has a linear 40lb pull regardless of stick excursion.
From mem I have gleaned from NATOPS the F18 has a break out force, then a constant Around 6.5Kg then a big increase in force as you get up into the high AOA
I've been meaning to ask about VPforce breakout force.. @walmis
To my understanding, "breakout force" is the amount of force needed to move the physical location of the stick away from centre.
It seems in VPforce that with breakout force enabled, the physical position of the stick moves with a lagging reaction of the virtual position depending on force value.
