many small pimples / zits on surface
My prints look fairly good but I have seamingly random zits all over the surface. They are good to remove when I scratch my nails over them. I have been looking at the print all day but I can't figure out where they are from,... any ideas?

dry the filament
Petg? Perhaps a little too much flow?
It came right out of the box and plastic sealed bag,... can I trust that it is dry? Ill pop it in the oven for a while and see what changes...
60°C fo 6 hours or so
plastic bag doesnt protect against humidity
It is PETG from REAL. I did a full AndrewEllis Pressure advance and Extrusion multiplier calibration on this filimant with a EM of 0.96,... I see no other evidence of over extrusion,...
that long? OK, ill pop it in the oven tomorrow and try again! Thanx for the help!
Flow rate and em are different things... Are the zits due to accumulation on the nozzle being randomly deposited? Or do they correspond to layer start/stop?
Petg has a much more narrow window of parameters that yield successful prints as compared w other plastics
Trying to push too much plastic too fast often results in buildup on the nozzle which then gets randomly deposited...
try the travel moves view in the slicer to see if it is this case
Could also be layer start/stop and insufficient retraction
I do not see any logic in the location of the Zits. Nozzle is very clean so my best bet is the moisture in the filament. I printed 2 parts today with another brand and they are "Zit-free".
Appreciate your thoughts on the matter, though!
turn the travel moves on in your slicer, so that you can see them
