Long pause after print line
V-Core 3 Standard kit
After the print line, my printer will pause for 3 to 4 minutes, all the while creating a plastic cap on the nozzle.

Simple first layer test, but it does this often. Even with the benchy from thingiverse

Maybe your printer is set for Absolute Extrusion. Check your start g-code. You should find M83 command. If not, put it there. M83 is setting the extrusion to Relative Mode. Also check for M82 command and delete it if present
