In regards to AMD Encoder Video
So I have a 6700 XT and I watched this video https://youtu.be/DXL8_Adbob4 and it showed me to type in the custom encoder settings for Max B frames and rendering images. I was wondering if the codes that I put in for my AMF settings still apply or if I no longer need those with OBS’s new update. I would be wondering if anyone can answer that for me

GG @chanman5123, you just advanced to level 1 !
I also have my bitrate set at 6000 and after I watch the stream I noticed my face was a little Pixley, so I was wondering if maybe I need to up the bitrate or possibly lower it based on the video
While I was keeping an eye on the stream, I didn’t drop that many frames I believe it was 27 out of 350,000 while I was streaming so that was good for me

chanmangamin went live on Twitch. Catch up on their Overwatch 2 VOD now.
Here is my video from today’s stream for a reference I would just notice at points when the actual gameplay is showing that my face seem kind of blurred together, which I really try to go for studio grade quality lighting, so I wanna know if it’s possibly something I can fix
@chanman5123 If you wanted to use the settings from the video, you don't need most of them anymore, since the UI has changed, and you can now set b-frames.
I can't comment too much on the settings in the video, but I can tell you what differs from default:
HighMotionQualityBoostEnable=true BReferenceEnable=true
There is also a different way of going about this which might be better, and that is by enabling something called Pre-Analysis. Keep in mind that this will hurt performance in game slightly, so its just something to know before deciding to go that route.
https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/wiki/AMF-OptionsSo @flaeri so what commands would I use then?
The ones at the bottom of the wiki. Updated it last night, and hopefully it makes more sense now 😂
Pre analysis on is the most important one, and id also turn off scenecut.
so that would be akin to:
EnablePreAnalysis=true PASceneChangeDetectionEnable=false
not sure about the others yet, as I havent tested them, but feel free to experimentThank u
I’m streaming tonight so I’m gonna let you know it goes
