Global installation Path doesn't seem to change regardless of if I changed it. Prefix Does.
My default install path is set to var/run/media/SD Card/Heroic but when installing GOG (Haven't tried Epic) it defaults to home/.var etc.
This is in Heroic - Settings - General
Meanwhile prefix defaults and installs to var/run/media/SD Card/Heroic/Prefixes.
Just wondering, known issue or am I doing something wrong?

And 20XX (which is a crappy game lol) is actually Epic so it looks like it affect both GOG and Epic.

You really shouldn’t be messing with
/var/

there are two vars... one is home/var
sorry home/.var
the other is var/run/media/SD Card from the base of your SD card.
there is no way to install on your SD without going to var/ lol.
Oh I think I know what you mean... well it's the same path regardless since var has the run shortcut that leads back to root... so yeah it is pointless in a way.
I changed it just now... same issue. Changing default installation path always reverts to /home/deck so the issue is the same.
default Prefixes location does change correctly

looks like it's a bug. I can confirm the same behavior on Deck + desktop. Heroic's config.json gets updated, but it still uses the folder which was previously set
