'RatOS invalid' in update-tab
Hi!
I wanted to update RatOS along klipper and moonraker a few months ago and it said 'RatOS' invalid in red color. When trying to soft or hard-recover RatOS it fails with the error 'fatal loose error', see picture. I told this problem here along another problem I had at this time so someone suggested my sd card was broken. However the SD card turned out to be fine so I decided to wait but nothing changed yet. I contacted RatRig regarding this issue and they told me to ask here. So here I am... I hope somebody can tell me what to do as I really want to update it further and ain't much of a software guy...
Greetings,
Vince

Your git repo is corrupt. That happens from a dying SD card. So I agree with the original suggestions of replacing the SD card
When I change the SD card I will have to safe my config files. Is there a way of saving every file and downloading them? Like as a .zip file?
Did you change files other than printer.cfg?
You are right, pretty surely not. 😅 just wanted to make sure to have everything saved before resetting everything
Well, it is a Linux system so you can use any of the normal Linux commands to save or move files
Thank you. I assume there is no way to just copy the files of the old SD to the new one and I will have to install Klipper from scratch again?
I would:
* Get new SD card
* Burn Rat-OS to SD card
* Transfer over printer.cfg file
How do I burn RatOS? Is it the same procedure I did when first installing the printer/the software?
Yes
Thanks a lot! Will do that as soon as possible.
