Same print settings, slightly different model, what's going on?

The left side of the first image is the first print that came out beautifully. The right side is the new part with the exact same print settings, with issues. The part geometry is very very similar and the outcome is much different. I've tried the same file on 2 different ratrigs with the same resulting pock marks, although not identical. (both vcore 3.1 500). Nothing in the slicer gives me any red flags, any ideas?

I dropped the model into the bed to omit the lower portion and it prints that geometry fine... (part sitting on top is the reduced height model to just limit the printing to the problematic geometry). No idea what is going on...

I think I've narrowed this issue down to a pathing issue in superslicer on certain models. The perimeters are being printed in an odd way - the start of the external perimeter path does not start at the end of the previous internal perimeter. Instead it retracts and jumps to another corner to start the external perimeter. The jump is what leaves the imperfections on the perimeter. Anyone have any ideas?

The nozzle ends the internal perimeter at the bottom right corner, then jumps to the left corner to start the external. The movement of the nozzle across that path is causing the issues. this doesn't always happen
