attempting to play pcbs2 on a steam deck, but the screen is in portrait
i'm a bit of a newbie to linux, and i'm using a steam deck connected to a steam link for usb ports. it's scuffed, but it works most of the time. recently i installed heroic games launcher and installed pc building simulator 2 from my epic games library, but when i launched it the starting graphics were squished horizontally and the fullscreen game window was in portrait. i'm assuming that the steam deck's display being natively 800x1280 and being turned 90 degrees is part of the problem. if anybody has a solution, it will be greatly appreciated

when I have these kind of resolution issues on the deck I have to change the in-game resolutions settings and it gets fixed, have you tried that? it's not clear if you tried that from your description
I haven't seen the screen rotated but I imagine it's the game rotating it because of the ratio

hmmmm sorry I don't have that game to test it, I wonder if there's any config file you can manually tweak to change the resolution

tried proton, same result
i can't find a config file in the directory
closest thing to it is boot.config but that only controls a few things, is it a possibility that i can add something to that?

I'd recommend asking in the reddit thread, I don't have that game to test and seems like people in that thread already have heroic and the game so they might be able to find if the game is actually setting the config anywhere specific
