my controller isn't having any input

My controller isn't having any input and it's like it's not even connected. It works if I play any other game with controllers support but it just doesn't work for rocket league. Any help?

Can't really do much about this on macOS; as far as I know, xboxdrv (what would usually solve those issues) does not work there
