"battlefrontii.exe" is not responding

after losing evening trying to make "platinum" (https://www.protondb.com/app/6060, GOG edition) game work, all I got is black screen after launch. I followed FAQ here, installed all dependencies. neither wine-ge, nor proton-ge work, but at least I got it from crashing on launch to just freezing. OS is Arch Linux, latest Heroic installed. log below
