Screen completely borks when attempting to play EUIV
Followed the instructions in a couple of threads, including one from last month, to no avail. Wine version shows EUIV logo for a few seconds, goes black, and then gives me this lovely work of modern art, which unfortunately is not the game of EUIV I wanted. That same thread also suggested that EUIV would work with Proton Experimental instead of Wine 7.37, but that froze on a still image of the world map.

Try with Wine-GE-Proton, make sure to enable DXVK and VKD3D in the settings too

same purple rectangles, only now i have an fps counter in the top-left corner so i can tell how fast my purple rectangles are running
this is with the autoinstall dxvk and vkd3d options ticked on the wine settings
is it possible for those boxes to be ticked but for wine to not actually be using those? that doesn't seem to be right
currently using wine-ge-proton7-37
Ok so it wasn't enabled
Neither dxvk nor vkd3d were enabled
I thought they were, my mistake

try disabling anything extra, like disable gamemode, showfps, eac runtime, did you change the target exe manually? if so remove that too

Oh I'm realizing I didn't actually say it but it works now
Only thing that's not quite right is that all the flags are black which also happened to someone else
I'll get around to fixing that
Also, the game is in French
Don't really understand that one since it is set to English in the settings
I can speak a little bit of French so it's not gamebreaking lol
