Valorant mic with riot client bug

ive noticed that the valorant in-game mic never works if the riot client is open when i boot valorant. Does anyone else have this issue or noticed it? Sometimes ill go in game and ill find 15 rounds in that out my mic hasnt been working and ive been talking to no one. Its quite infuriating, does anyone know a fix? my mic most definitely works in every other app, just valorant..,
