You may refer to subpoint 3.1 in #guidelines for regional communities.
Under Customize Buttons in Settings, you can move it lower to activate the sprint quicker.
That button is only for locking sprint
Not for activation area
You can adjust the sprint sensitivity under Controls > Advanced Controls in the Settings.
