Keenovo mat falling off, but I never went over 110°C

While printing PETG with a bed of 85°C I smelled something burned but only slightly. And then I found a huge bubble under the heating mat (1500W 220V). Some time ago I read that someone had this happen because of too high temperatures. I had printed a lot of printer parts at 110°C in ABS but I never noticed any problems and as I took it this temperature should have been fine. For the last while the hottest I had my print bed was at 85°C and now the mat is falling off.... How could that happen? I don't I did anything wrong. And the only way forward is to scrape it off, right? 🥹

all depends on how well you cleaned the surface before you stuck it down, and whether you laid it down without any air bubbles. AS you heat the plate, any air will expand, pushing the heat mat off the plate. since it's 'hangining' there is no reason to stick back down on its own. so it slowly delaminates.

It was fine for almost a year and I can feel that the bubble has pressure at room temperature - for lack of better words. If delamination has started is it possible that the mat at that location is heating up more because it's no longer cooled by the bed and gets hot enough for the glue to burn off? I am thinking about reusing the mat but I don't know if it is damaged as I don't know why it happened now when the temperatures should have been fine. But maybe there was a bubble that slowly grew over time only for me to notice it now because it was large enough to make something smell. 🤷 My next fear is that a bed that had its mat scraped off doesn't exactly raise the chances of getting a clean connection. 😔 Found that from Keenovo

How could I check if the pad is damaged? Would it be fine to check the resistance and see if it still is in the right range?
