PID Tuning Caused Bed Heater To Not Work

I'm running thru the initial configuration & setup for my first V-Core 3.1 500mm build. I had zero issues running a few calibration cubes, and went onto doing PID Tuning. I was able to successfully PID tune the extruder, and moved onto doing the bed heater. About 1/2 through the PID process of heating to temperature of 100* (Print mostly ASA), Klipper returned an error of not heating at the expected rate. I restarted firmware, and proceeded to try and heat the bed again but it keeps returning the same error. Klipper shows giving the bed 100% power but the bed doesn't seem to heat up anymore. Bed heater is wired to the SSR correctly, Could I have fried the SSR? Could I have fried the heater? Is there some sort of PID Bug?

SSR seems to be working fine

Upload a picture of your SSR wiring

Pretty messy pic before I cut everything to length but I followed the attached diagram.

what board is that?

BTT SKR 3 EZ (won it during the RatRig giveaway last year sometime) I replaced the fuses onboard to see if itd make a difference but it didnt. I can find my go-to multimeter but the cheap one I have doesn't get a reading. I'll upload a vid shortly.

I can't tell from the photo, did you hook up the AC and DC sides correctly on the SSR?

Yes (at least I believe so), I triple checked the wiring diagram and even used it as a checklist to confirm.

did you follow https://os.ratrig.com/docs/boards/btt/skr-3-ez for everything but the SSR?

correct! I used it as a reference, made sure stepper motors matched, removed any jumpers, etc. EBB42 is used for the extruder and functions at it should. Waiting on a multimeter to get delivered today. I think it toss out some crazy current or something in the middle of the PID tune and fried the bed, possibly.

ok, because I don't see the thermistors attached like in the ratos diagram

If you open the pic in a browser and zoom in you should be able to see it easier. I ended up sleeving it in red.

Yeah, idk then. I would bring out the multimeter and verify everything is getting power correctly

I shouldve probs not tried to PID as high as 100C maybe, idk. I just find the whole thing odd.
blacksmithforlife
No, that seems reasonable if you will have your bed near 100 most of the time

Thats exactly why I selected 100 bc I'll mostly do ASA prints. I suppose I can bypass the ssr and attempt to plug the bed to the main board and run it like 30C

I’ve got 120v basically all the up to the bed. I’m thinking the PID Tune fried it. Does klipper logs show temps?
blacksmithforlife
It should - maybe you blew your thermal fuse

Yeah I was able to confirm it with the multimeter sadly do you know where I can get a new fuse @blacksmithforlife 🇺🇸

someone might know in #self-sourcing I don't know offhand

Thank you very much for the help @ptegler ! Much appreciated! I’ll take a look at those that you linked. I ran to my local Micro Center (I’m a lucky SOB that lives near one) and picked up two NTE8125’s as a temporary solution.

I need to be careful because the holding temp is 106* C . I’m hoping to get ASA to stick at like 85-90 even if I have to use magigoo too.
