Rocket league won't launch
Hi everyone! I'm trying to launch rocket league on Mac M1 Pro and nothing happens, not even an error. I can download and run any other game with Heroic.
I tried:
- Change the installation path
- Change configs in Crossover bottle
- Uninstall everything and install again
Does anyone have the same issue? I would really appreciate any help 🙂 thnx!

Hi, I have exactly the same error. Someone told me that it could be a configuration issue but I dont know what that means because I dont have much knowledge about heroic

Hey @CinchVX , I THINK I might have found the solution.
I find out that "Rocket League" Launcher was in the "Applications" folder located in MacintoshHD/Users/myuser/Applications, it's at the same location as Documents, Downloads, Desktop etc. It is not the same folder were all the mac applications go. It was weird because I saw the launcher icon in Mission Control (when you pinch with 4 fingers in the trackpad)
So I did the following:
- Uninstalled Rocket League,
- Deleted that launcher,
- Create a new bottle in Crossover for heroic with windows 7 x64,
- clear the cache and restar heroic
Then I reinstalled the game and it worked perfectly.

I did it with the integrated Wine Crossover version and I can play Rocket League just fine.

because I don't get any errors either, I keep pressing the lauch button but the game never lauches

though i am unaware of the wine crossover

already tried that, I guess it doesn't work for my M2 mac pro.
just to confirm, so all you did was launch the heroic app and press launch, to launch the Rocket League game?
without needing any sort of crossover?

Yes, just configure this to the Wine Crossover option (which should be the default) and run it

also, say if I get the free trial of crossover and create a bottle for my game to run. Do you know if the game would still run after the free trial ends, since i would have already created a bottle?

You do not download Crossover.

Just realised heroic provides a crossover that is free and works perfectly.
