Getting rid of an ugly seam
Hi guys,
I am tinkering around for a while, but i can't get rid of that ugly seam.
A few facts:
- Filament: Spectrum WOOD Filament
- Hotend: Rapido UHF
- Nozzle: Brozzl Hardened Steel Nozzle 1.2 mm

The Result
I found that, with larger nozzles, it gets more difficult to hide seams. I've had the most luck improving the seam with retraction, wipe, and seam gap settings... Unfortunately I don't have any good guidelines - just need to test & revise until you get improvements...
I think seam gap and extra wipe have the greatest effect... But also make sure PA is properly tuned before you start down that road

Thx, i guess i found the "missing thing" - i adjusted the extrusion multiplier - from 1 to 1.2 - and tada. I looks much better. Well, tuning such a big nozzle is not that easy 😛
Interesting... I think that would affect many other things as well... That's a big increase

I had an issue like this with a benchy. I cannot remember the superslicer setting but it’s based around stopping extrusion a short distance before the perimeter close. Initially mine was too low & at speed I was getting over extrusion at that point. I’ve tuned it back & now I have a slight hollow like yours so I clearly over did it. I also know my pressure advance is a little off so I’ve not given too much more thought to it until I sort that out.
Might be one to check if the extrusion multiplier does upset things.
