Camera tool + rendering .bat files breaking occasionally

I am currently working on a project, now at the cinematography stage. Noticed this super annoying bug(?), where I will capture a video, immediately go for a second take, and the camera just refuses to film, fixed only by re-opening the program. Also, the .bat files for rendering seem to occasionaly not be made (I think its directly to do with the camera tool not working properly, I'll try to explain. 1) First take, works fine 2) second take sometimes doesn't work, sometimes does, if it wokrs I immediately film again 3) go watch the videos, both tries' low quality mp4s are there, but only the first take has the .bat file.)

I've encountered similar problems The workaround I use is to save as a new sketch. Something that could be improved.
If the path hasn't changed then it's using the same one, and renumbering the video Not sure if it calls the path correctly when that happens. Have had trouble with multiple paths in the same scene as well. For the moment, I just save new, and only use one camera path for sketch. less than ideal, but does allow you to film

Ah, I see thanks! I'm mainly shooting handheld for this one, so camera paths aren't an issue heh. But now that I was trying to find a workaround virtual desktop doesn't fork because meta servers have crashed. Great luck all around haha

Some days are like that. Just save (new) each time, and make sure the recording is actually complete. Not ideal for storage reasons, but it should work. The message that drops is on a timer, I'm pretty sure, and doesn't necessarily indicate that the recording is fully processed. Good idea to let it wait a bit. Think it still works, but then your machine is trying to record both simultaneously. Also might explain why the bat file isn't getting written, as it might just abandon that step.

Not just VD doesn't work, but also arilink refuses to be atleast decent and is absolutely vomit inducing. Swear to god everything that can go wrong just went haha. Also, makes alot of sense what you said about waiting for abit. Sucks that the first near perfect try got lost due to me not wanting to wait. Thank you for the help, I'll make sure to keep all of this in mind! I'm so happy I decided to give openbrush a try, fell in love and will be using this frequently now. Will have to donate when the project gets paid. Thank you for support!

Cool. I'm going to leave this open, because its definitely not optimal as is. Workable but has room for improvement. Should be able to handle multiple paths better and not require a copied sketch

I'm not sure exactly what happened, I was somewhere else at the time, not exactly sure where, it all seems sorta hazy What happened again? Well... we've got some footage
