the launcher has stopped launching.

Tried to download Cities Skylines. Finished the install, didn’t launch. Whatever, Linux sucks, I’ll figure it out, but now Heroic won’t launch at all

Check the other support channel and how people interact with each other. You just act like a child that need some attention. If you not calm down, stop using of meme images or provide serious description of your problem noone will probably help you.

I know how people interact with each other in these channels, typically starts at the first message, and they don’t have to keep getting their threads back to the top. I have described my issue as I am having it. Obviously I’m wanting attention, I need help with a problem A problem that took nearly a week to be addressed, when seemingly nobody else had to wait that long Obviously issues need to be described in detail, but this is literally as much detail as I know It is not launching in any way

people reply to the problems they know how to help with, that doesn't mean ignoring, that means that the people that knows how to help you and have time to do so have not seen your message yet I can help with some things here probably but I'm checking discord only for 5 minutes a day because I'm traveling for example, so I'll only have some time but after monday

Maybe? I did it on my internal drive, only leaving about 2 MB Figured I could reinstall it on my external, if heroic would launch

Alright, it’ll be a minute before I can give it a shot, will do later Transferred it into my sd card. Very clearly have more than 4 gigs my internal drive. Heroic will still not launch

seems like your 2 mb of storage screwed up with your heroic config 💀 ur gonna have to reset heroic luckily you can import all your games again so it's fine delete this folder ~/.var/app/com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl/.config/heroic in terminal: rm -dR ~/.var/app/com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl/.config/heroic

you forgot the rm in front of it lol rm -dR path_here path_here is ~/.var/app/com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl/.config/heroic -d stands for directory -R is recursive (delete everything within the folder and all of its subfolders too!)

It’s on This is nice Cities says it’s unavailable, is this relevant to the import you mentioned? You also mentioned a restart, or reset or whatever. Do I go ahead and do that?

the rm command does that yes now "uninstall" the game then install it and there should be some button that lets you locate the files on disk or smth

So I hit “import” on the download screen, choose the cities skylines file and it just kinda ignores it, prompts me to download it again Hold on, remembering something It’s working!!

download wine-ge from the wine manager and set that as the runner in the game settings then enable dxvk and vkd3d and ur good to go
