fixing a lake

I am trying to fix this a little bit, I have seen Mark's video and I think I understand the issue. It was much worse after not having used the printer for a while, it was over 0.35 with rear back corner far up. Right now its 0.144mm variance. I fixed the high corners by bringing that corner up bit by bit. Ive also loosened and re-fastened the X and Y rails and I tested with all the screws but 1 just finger tight (to allow thermal expansion). Ive let the printer heat up for at least an hour (inside was 40C) and loosened/fastened the rails once more. Im not sure what to think of this as it keeps showing this lake, suggesting both X and Y are bending down in the middle? I guess its possible the extrusions/rails are bend? I realize 0.144mm variance isn't that much, I still like to see if I can get it a little better. Bed size is 300mm. Thanks!

A lake has turned into a puddle. 0.104mm variance. Im getting better at this 😄

Yeh it is and Im happy with it :P. I do believe its good practise to try things out to see what works and what doesn't. Its down to 0.100mm variance but only when heated up for more than an hour. Most of thevariance is still due to X being bent, probably thermal expansion

The graph shows that x & y are bowing upwards, not downwards... My guess is that you know that already or you'd have made it worse rather than better. By all means though, move on - many other factors will have a greater influence on print quality than bed flatness

yeh, they bow up - I did know that i just got confused when I was typing the question ;). Its not so much about print quality but about learning to make the proper corrections and understand how the printer responds to that.
