Massive layer shifts

I started getting layer shifts on my v-core 3.1 and I don't know what's causing it. They're consistently shifting in the same direction and the printer clearly thinks it's still in the right position as when it homes after it goes the same distance to the right and forward. I reinstalled the os recently with an update to ratos2 when I was having some voltage issues. But the layer shifts continued. The belts are near perfectly tensioned and I'm not seeing any skipping when they move. Seems to only happen on new layers. This is 3 layers in.

how has this been determined? What acceleration and speed values are you using?
when I was having some voltage issues
voltage issues on the pi or something else?

Are the pulleys on your x/y motors secure?

The macro. Pi yeah. Turned out a cable was just a little loose. No issues since. Acceleration is topped at default as I hadn't ran the accelerometer yet. Speed was at 100mm/s that it was easily able to do before.

Yup.

perfect - some people tune them using guitar apps or such and wanted to make sure that wasn't the case here. Now they match, but you could have them equally too tight. What do the individual resonances look like?

They should be low. I only loosened them. How do I check the individuals? The weird thing was this started after about a dozen successful prints.

Your Y graph looks wrong. There should only be one peak

Oh dang should I loosen the belts more or is this something else?

Not sure, I would look through #fix-my-resonance for ideas

Well I found a similar looking chart on a klipper forum. The suggestion there was that the axis was binding. That's usually fixed by cleaning the rails and making sure the belts are gripping the teeth on the gear properly, right? Most bizarre cuz it happened out of nowhere after I did several successful prints. Then consistently the second layer onward would shift.
