Mordhau stuttery low fps gameplay despite sufficient hardware requirements
like I said in the title I have a very bad gaming experience while having a "good" enough rig for the game. I usually have 11-12 fps and 18fps at best with the worst (as in low) settings.
I use Nobara OS 37, a fedora based linux distro
I have a nvidia 960m 2GB VRAM GPU
8GB RAM (idk which DDR version tho)
I have a intel i7 6700HQx8 processor
I use Gnome 43.2
the windowing system I use is X11

I used Proton as the wine version since every other wine version wouldn't even launch Mordhau
I enabled FSYNC and ESYNC
I have the flathub version of Heroic installed
I got this error now after trying to download it again:

Click on "Report a problem" at the bottom of the game page. That's the log you want.

I'm currently trying to "repair" the game via the repair tool
no log file found
I should mention that I have deleted everything and tried it via lutris but it wouldn't even launch there
so I reinstalled everything and didn't have an opportunity to launch it
it's stuck at launching
well it doesn't even launch now neat

I get the following error after switching the wine version from proton to another version
TL;DR that's what I get when I want to download the C++ runtime
the proton wine version isn't even launching anymore it just says that it's launching

please post the full game log.. you must be using Wine-GE as proton doesnt provide logging. Clear the prefix, set it to use wine-ge restart the game, once that fails post the full game log found in the report a problem button on the game's page

looks like you are using a lutris wine? Have you tried installing the latest Wine-GE from the heroic wine manager? make sure its not a lutris or LOL or SC version

you dont seem to have glxinfo installed?
or a bunch of mango hud things? maybe turn off mango hud
also probably make sure your drivers are properly installed for your OS, ensure vulkan etc is present

you likely also have to turn on use dedicated gpu

make sure flatpak nvidia drivers are installed
proton seems to be required for this game
otherwise it crashes
might also be a mangohud issue (had the same issue in the logs with 3dmark and proton 8)
but it went away with proton so im not sure

yes it is required the problem is that proton won't launch
it's just stuck in the launching process whenever I try to launch it from heroic
I can disable mangohud
I get a black screen now when I try to open it...

they are Glorius Eggroll's nobara OS has a download option for that in the welcome screen. Like I said every other game that I play works perfectly be it league or indie games like Chained Echoes
I don't think that it can be an nvidia drivers not installed issue since I once got ingame when I downloaded and played Mordhau once (but I had a very stuttery experience)
now I can't even launch Heroic and even if I can't launch Mordhau...
I'm kinda tempted to just launch it via Steam
ok when I'm launching with steam I get ingame
and it isn't stuttery at all
it just says that it has backend problems to connect to the servers

ok I'll try Proton 7, ESYNC/FSYNC activated and MangoHud turned off
same problem it's stuck at launching
Proton 8 has the same error
well at least uninstalling worked rn
I should mention that I changed the location where it creates new wine prefixes (could that really be an issue)
