Changing OS host name and Game Saves
I changed my steam deck's hostname and found my game saves in Middle Earth : Shadow of War (from GoG) suddenly missing.
After a mild amount of panic (I had played tens of hours already and didn't want to replay), I found the game save location in the launcher configs. I browser to that directory and saw save files for both hostnames. I deleted the new name (noting the syntax), and then renamed all the older saves to the new name. After relaunching, all my game saves were back!
Thought I'd share in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
