Can’t flash firmware to manta m8p
Decided to treat my little beast to an upgrade, but for the love of me I can’t get it to flash the firmware.bin.
I am using a cb1 on the manta. Got ratos running, from it but absolutely no dice for flashing the MCU. Tried different cards, fat 16, fat 32 nothing happens when I plug into the manta sd card slot. Even naming it FIRMWARE.BIN …
Fixed: By doing the procedure with all components unhooked

there are two SD card slots, you put it in the correct slot right?
Hi. Yes I run the ratos from the one at the bottom and am putting the firmware one in the one on the side Manta-SD or whatever it’s called
I think MCU-SD
and you rebooted after putting in the SD card?
@bulmaster try flashing via "Manual DFU"
That usually works better
Plenty of times. Even spammed the reset button.
Will try today after work
Ok i managed to fix it. I just unplugged everything and it worked by simply turning on the machine.
Likely to be a wiring issue then
Could be could be but I replugged everything back the same and it is working so who know why it was not in the mood to update.
I did notice all instructions have the board flashed before it’s hooked up so maybe there is a reason for it
@miklschmidt any reason why the wiring diagram for the Adxl345 is different on the ratos website compared to the manta m8p manual?
I am asking since I figured my original problem, when I plug in the Adxl345 using the ratos wiring diagram I lose connection to the mcu and ratos can’t connect to it anymore.
When I unplug it, everything is peachy.
Then I noticed the wiring diagram in the btt manual, which is inverted compared to the ratos one
On further testing, if I replug the adx345 once the printer has started, it works fine. But if I restart the firmware I need to unplug, restart and then replug
which manta version?
1.1
That's probably why, they didn't make any release notes about that.
