Delete the prefix and run it again. Things probably got messed up in the transition between versions earlier

same issue, it appears to be something i have not configured correctly in my wine installation

make sure you have all wine dependencies, check the pinned Read Me First thread at #🆘-support

does this happen on the flatpak version of heroic launcher? because i dedicated several hours without success to make non-proton wine work
harsh-harlequin
harsh-harlequin•3y ago
No There's a whole article that you can just copy paste from, I don't have the link rn as I'm on mobile

I deleted the ~/.wine folder to set it to default and ran winecfg but it hangs here is the log of winecfg hanging https://dpaste.com/3GVGDMA3F second time I try to run it doesnt even log anything

Any other games work? Flatpak version 2.7.0?
old-apricot
old-apricotOP•3y ago
I tried flatpak and still getting the same kernel32 error And it happens in any application, so I guess heroic has nothing to do with this

Gentoo is like a different language to me 🙂 will probably need someone else to help with fixing your Wine / Config

are you new to linux in any way? (if you are you shouldn't be using gentoo) even me I wouldn't use gentoo and I have been using linux for a few years anyways I would try figuring out how to configure multilib/multiarch on gentoo and install the basic multiarch things like lib32-glibc for example
old-apricot
old-apricotOP•3y ago
Im starting to suspect it doesnt have to do with my multilib setup for some reason wine runs perfectly fine when sudoing I tried to copy the root prefix to my user and changing ownership but no success Finally found out why I use fish as the user shell and for some reason breaks the creation of the wine prefix Work around it by running heroic with bash, delete the prefix and let heroic's winecfg create it
