you have to install the official Epic Games Launcher app in the game prefix for this game to work
- download the installer from epicgames.com
- open the game settings in heroic
- click Run EXE in Prefix
- look for the installer and complete the installation
you don't need to login to epic games or anything, it's just that this game seems to require something from the official epic games launcher installation
it's the same even on Windows machines
