GOG, Pathfinder: WoR worked at first but now won't launch

SOLVED: Check my own reply in this thread I installed Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous from GOG using Heroic. But ever since that first successful launch it won't run anymore. It just says launching and then stops. I reset Heroic and cleared the cache. Even reinstalled P:WoR and Heroic Launcher but nothing has worked. Followed the FAQ guide too.

I figured it out. 1. I fully uninstalled Heroic (which on Discover "remove" apparently is NOT the same as "uninstall" is on Windows because it still leaves a lot of files and folders behind). I had to get a graphical disk analyzer to actually locate all of the files Heroic left behind and delete them manually. 2. Reinstall Heroic. 3. Figure out that the game does not like launching without internet access UNLESS you turn Steam into Offline Mode before leaving the wifi area. OR by connecting to wifi/mobile hotspot before you try to launch Heroic (setting the game to play offline does not work, I even tried turning off cloud saves to see if that would help but nope). 4. Made sure I had Wine installed properly (also a pain because "Wine" in Discover is not what you need. You need another app called "ProtonUp-Qt" or it may be called "WineUp-Qt". I can't remember and I don't have my deck with me rn to check. 5. Now I can consistently get the game to launch properly, so long as I follow step 3. So that's good. Thanks for your reply, sorry I was inactive and did not respond right away.

Discover has a prompt when you visit the app page indicating that you have left behind user data. Windows uninstallers can also leave behind user data as well. This is app-dependent.
