Learning java

Hi, i just completed my graduation, but due to covid, i missed my basic concepts like core java, dsa. As a fresher, I want to start my career as a full stack java developer. Can anyone help me with the concepts, resources, what to learn, how much to learn and how to learn? Should i go for online tutorials or learn with the help of books? I really need help as I am alone, i have to do this by myself. Please any tips on how should I study java, dsa, and development all together.

any particular reason why Java? or is it just because that's the only thing they teach an uni for no practical reason? Best bet would be what @electronic9401 recommended: skim Youtube and find Java communities. If you're on your own, imagine an actual problem you want to fix with a (software) program so you have a reason to continue. You'd be easily bored to code another todo list or book/cd renting or billing app if you couldn't care less about books, cds, and finance. Also look for tutorials that cover the "problem" you want to solve. I don't think Java's a good choice these days to create websites -- which is the main subject of this Discord --, 'cos it costs to run web servers that handle .jsp. Monthly plans vary largely. You'd need to also setup and manage your own (local) server with e.g. Tomcat. Good luck.

Java isn't all bad especially for backend it's tedious but it's still in the works, I started learning it too and tbh it's not as difficult as everyone makes it to be

There are, if not better, more alternatives to consider

All boils down to what you want to build and whose employing There are no "better" alternatives only different use cases

I think you misread what I said

I didn't you said more alternatives if not better and I quoted better trying to imply that it's simply a trade off of what you want to build

I just didn't want to sound like I was shitting on Java, that they didn't have to go with Java and may find value in looking at alternatives
