Whats wrong with credit?

Honestly I fell for working for a dropshipper imposing as the YouTuber I was asked to edit for and from what I researced after, the YouTuber gives credit to the editors and thumbnail artist. After submitting the video expecting my name, instead it was the name of the person who asked me to edit the video. How is it not a problem and people are just told me I'm a ghost editor when I was tricked on thinking I was talking to the YouTuber directly.?
