LDO Orbiter V2 started making a weird noise

Recently my extruder started making a weird noise every now and then. It seems to do it for a few minutes then stop. I have no idea what's causing it, but it seems to go away if I remove the filament. I've included a short clip of the noise

I've already broken down the extruder and all the bearings seem to be in good shape and there's no obvious debris inside the gearbox.
