Legendary Memory Issue

I started the Installation of Fallout New Vegas, which is btw free on epic. While it currently downloads, and the progress is shown correctly, it gave me an angry error: Legendary (Epic Games)

While I think it is currently working (I will update once it finished downloading), the memory issue still might be something that should be addressed. I don't know if this is appropriate for github issues, if so please let me know, then I will make an issue.

I had the same, with the same game. So far so good for me, at 80% so will know shortly

Ok in that case it probably deserves an issue and is not a matter of my setup. I will make one after either of us actually finished the instalation

So it has installed though I did get a "not enough memory" error at the end. Launches ok once you force to proton GE. However, audio keeps stopping and I can't select anything on the opening menu 😅. So using touch screen works on main menu but then game crashes. Interested to hear how you get on 👍 Tinker steps on protondb mention "switch to old version 6.3-8" but not sure how to do that

This error is a false positive. Heroic will internally catch this error & do what is suggested there (bumping up the shared memory cache) Not sure how it's getting through to you (the user), it should be caught beforehand

weirdly enough the wine manager just seems to go back to 7.0, which is not good.

Apparently forcing offline mode in heroic settings worked for another user to get the game running Haven't tried it yet Ignore this - they just said their version of the game is on GoG There's a discussion on how to get game running here FYI: https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1111439828995809290
