My home made collective works pretty well today. But I plan on modifying it to be FFB with a single motor kit and slapping a left handed constellation (non prime) on it.
I know there is tons of comments already, but mine arrived, not used it yet, but first impressions of the build quality are very very pleasing, looks well made and beautifully put together, certainly feels a quality product, thanks Walmis, look forward to maybe using it tomorrow
Anyone who is buying from the UK, you import duty and charges etc will be around Β£152.00 for your reference.
I guess my only concern with such a long line ahead of me and a single person handling all the production, would be issues related to scaling (e.g. parts supply issues) and/or burn-out on the part of walmis... I mean, it sounds like he's got years of repetitive tasks ahead of him. I hope he doesn't get overwhelmed or sick of it!
parts supply sourcing is actually part of why production has picked up.
you aren't sent an invoice until your order is ready so not much risk of losing money on something you won't receive
also you have the freedom to leave the line at any time and get something else or just wait longer.
I do agree this has probably become far more popular than walmis initially expected, and it would certainly be nice to see him able to work on this project long term. I think long term it would definitely need more people working on it to both a) ramp up production and b) allow some headroom for resting etc.
Yeah, I just worry when there's a single producer and a ton of popularity for a product. Obviously some, like Slaw or Milan, do just fine with it... but others fall apart. The fact that Walmis has already shipped 100 units breeds a lot of confidence though. Just hope he can maintain that (as there's still 400 more till my turn!)
I just wish I had found this community sooner! I had no idea what FFB bases were capable of till I found (thanks to vague mention on a reddit post) some of Walmis's videos last week. The Rhino just seems like the perfect next step for my pit.
Hello, here to probably ask the annoying obvious questions that everyone asks. How much does the Rhino cost? What are the current estimates on lead times? Thanks and sorry for being that guy.
Ah!!! This is prob more important than a first child, after your first few years of the child, youβll be tired/sleep deprived, The RHINO wont make you feel like that, its joy the whole time and after 18 years you want to get rid of your kid (kick them out of the house), the RHINO you dont want to get rid of
