GOG Cloud Saves support - does it sync through GOG's cloud, or a Heroic cloud?

I've been trying to get cloud saves working for my GOG library - I know not all games support it but many of them do. At first I couldn't find the setting at all because I was installing the native Linux version for games. When I installed the Windows version I found the settings for cloud saves. I tested this out with Into the Breach. It said Cloud Saves were enabled and would start by syncing when I launched the game. However, it didn't pull my saves from the GOG Cloud and when I made a new profile, started a game, and saved - that didn't sync to the GOG Cloud as when I started it up on another computer the save wasn't there. So I used "force upload/download" and tried again. What I found was confusing. I could delete my local saves and then use "Force download" to resync to the cloud - my new saves showed up again. But none of this ever synced with the cloud on my other machine. This got me wondering, has Heroic enabled cloud saves by storing the save files somewhere else like a Heroic server? Or is it intended to sync through GOG's cloud and something else weird/broken is happening. I'd really love to get this working - thanks!

The synchronization is with GOG servers. I haven't tried it, though, so I can't comment on your difficulties.
