AUR 2.7.1 to flatpak 2.8.0 cannot find installed games

I am using Manjaro Linux KDE to play games with the Heroic Games Launcher. The first version I downloaded and used to install my games was version 2.7.1 from the AUR. Suddenly, every time I tried to play, it would crash. I thought it might be due to the 2.8.0 update that was released. So, I decided to update by downloading the Flatpak version. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two versions, and I would appreciate it if someone could explain it to me. However, the problem is that the launcher is not recognizing the games I have already downloaded. Can someone help me make it detect my games?

in terms of general functionality, they would be the same. initially, the flatpak has limited folder permissions, so you might not see where the games are installed. app configs are stored in different places between AUR and flatpak packages, so your Heroic configs are not automatically moved over. when you attempt to install a game, you have the option to import the game. as long as you line up the right game data and prefix folders with where they're already installed, it should be fine

what if I uninstall flatpak and continue using AUR but updated version? I think it would be easier
