How do i join a friend on different car lobbys??

Type /tpr (ID) or (Players Name) in chat, you’ll be teleported into your friends lobby they will need to accept it.

You can also Press F3 to switch lobbies

I tried this three times and just keeps saying my friends user name doesn't exist

You can also press F5 create a party have your friends join & you’ll be able to see them on your map
